When monsoon season comes around in India each summer, a number of cultural traditions come along with them. A favorite among those traditions is drinking tea with pakoras (deep-fried fritters). While Monica Bhide is no longer in India, she continues to look forward to these traditions as a reminder of home and family, and a rejuvenation of the body, soul, and spirit.
